IP PBX is an exchange that enables you to innovate your communication system by exploiting the benefits of Unified Communications.
The solution is based on the IP protocol and integrates PBX, voice lines, email, internet browsing, video calls and instant messaging.

A wide range of services is included

Besides the traditional features of the most powerful physical exchanges on the market, IP PBX also includes advanced, latest-generation functionality, including:

  • IVR automatic operator: automatically answers incoming calls. It can be configured with a personalized welcome message, leading to a menu for the caller to choose from the various departments or corporate functions;
  • a voicemail box for each individual user: to hear, save, delete and forward answerphone messages. Welcome voice messages can be personalized and used as an alternative to the default messages;
  • conferences and conference rooms: to make teleconference calls with any internal extension and also with external numbers. The "conference room" function allows several users to communicate at the same time;
  • Web Presentation: allows to select a document for sending and sharing it with another system user in order to be visualized by both. Not only: in the same time, it’s possible to call the other user or any other contact and discuss about it. Sharing is further enhanced by the use of the pointer, that allows at the first user to control the cursor on the other user’s screen;
  • email: the mailboxes are accessible using the mail client and via webmail (sharing and advanced management available with optional Exchange Box);
  • calendar: to create appointments, organize meetings, publish individual users’ availability and view planned group activities (sharing available with optional Exchange Box);
  •  contacts: this sophisticated contacts management facility allows calls to be made directly from a PC in "click-to-dial" mode or forwarded according to the contact settings for the caller; an unlimited number of names can be stored (sharing available with optional Exchange Box);
  • tasks: tasks can be set up and managed; the progress status can be recorded to keep the task continually up to date (sharing available with optional Exchange Box);
  • instant messaging: all company users can use the chat and presence services, to speed up and simplify communications while improving productivity by eliminating unanswered calls.

Always contactable wherever you are, on the same number

With IP PBX, there is no need for different numbers on your business card any more: you can stay connected with the company telephone system and receive calls using your own extension number only.

Location-independent working is assured by the ability to use your company landline number from home, from a branch office, or indeed from anywhere with a broadband internet connection.

For example, you can answer a call on your own extension number using your laptop, your smartphone or a PCat an airport internet point, just as if you were there in the office.

And that’s not all: the calls that you make or receive to or from the company network, are free.

Unlimited scalability

In terms of its basic functionality, the system surpasses even the most expensive physical systems on the market. In particular, new applications can be implemented without modifying the hardware system, as updates and functions can be added at the click of a button from the web interface.

Call costs are also significantly lower. This is because calls can be made from HQ, from a branch office, from home or on the move: all staff can work efficiently wherever they happen to be, and calls to and from company network numbers are free, regardless of the device used.

Administration is easy with the web interface

Company users can configure their preferred settings for their own extension simply using a web browser, with no need to call a technician.

The simple, intuitive graphical user interface makes it easy to navigate around the system and to find the main functions directly from the home page, such as email, contacts, calendar, tasks, instant messaging, and the exchange and conference functions.

The call forwarding rules can be set up, for example, based on time of day or caller number. Calls outside office hours can be forwarded to an answerphone or mobile, while incoming calls from a given number can be forwarded to home.

Fully integrable with advanced applications

IP PBX can support a wide range of business needs through integration with other innovative services, such as:

  • Fax2Mail a service that allows faxes to be sent and received via email, by associating an email address with a geographical number;
  • Exchange Box for accessing and sharing company information, like mail, calendar, tasks and contacts, wherever you are. The service is compatible with most smartphones on the market, such as the BlackBerry, iPhone and Android.
